Pip + Matt’s Story:
What can I say, Pip and Matty are both wonderful in their own right yet together they’re extraordinary!
Based in Brooklyn NY, they are living a full life!
They told me their absolute favourite thing in the world is hosting dinner parties that go for too long. Oh I love that! And travel, they’re big on exploring new places and having all kinds of adventures.
Very early on, they developed a terrible habit of egging each other on. Like on their 2nd date to Coney Island in the height of Winter. Pip said she’d go for a dip if only she had her swimmers. Matt replied “Well if we see a surf shop I’ll buy you a suit” “Ok” Pip said. They found a surf shop “You still up for a swim?” “I will if you will”. Next thing you know, they’re standing in snow on the beach in their new swimmers. On the count of 3, they ran into the freezing ocean, ducked under then sprinted out.
And that’s just one of many crazy yet fantastic tales they have to tell!
They grew up on opposite sides of the world.
Raised in two very similar loving, down-to-earth families.
Their careers are wildly different. Matt, a writer and Pip, a humanitarian. As Matt said, there’s a million reasons why they should have never met but it seems so inevitable that they did. They have everything and nothing in common. It all comes down to that feeling they get that makes them complete. They have never been more comfortable in their lives when together. They felt home.
Now, the Love Gods were on their side when they brought some of their closest circle from the US and other parts of the world to Oz. Boy, did they show them a fair dinkum action-packed week of adventure. Most importantly, they squeezed their Happy Ever After Down Under wedding celebration in-between the bush fires & the global pandemic!
Ges, they timed it well! Kudos to Pip & Matt, and the Love Gods for making such wonderful memories for everyone involved.
I’m so grateful that I got to be part of this once-in-a lifetime adventure! Added bonus, I made some truly amazing buddies for life! Can’t wait to visit you guys in NY when global travelling is a thing again!
